Founded in 2000, the European Digital Cinema Forum was instrumental in the successful digitisation of European cinemas, helping the industry navigate a major technological shift with minimal disruption.
Today, the EDCF unites professionals from across the film ecosystem — trade associations, standards bodies, cinema operators, manufacturers, service providers, distributors, post-producers, and content creators — to explore the evolving landscape of cinema technology.

Open to organisations and individuals
The EDCF Membership Programme is open to both organisations and individuals working across the film and cinema industry — from trade bodies and technology providers to post-production, distribution, and exhibition professionals.
Membership offers an exclusive platform to connect with peers, share expertise, influence industry standards, and access privileged events, workshops, and resources. Company memberships are designed for organisations seeking broader visibility and engagement across their teams; individual memberships provide the same core benefits for single professionals.
